Graduate Ambulance Paramedic Survey
A number of Graduate Ambulance Paramedics (GAPs) have recently contacted the Union regarding the lack of Clinical Instructor (CI) time they are being rostered to by Ambulance Victoria.
Under Appendix 2 – Graduate Ambulance Paramedic Provisions of the Agreement, GAPs should be rostered to work with either a CI or Paramedic Educator for their first 20-26 weeks as a GAP.
Many GAPs are only receiving one to two months with a CI in their first six months of employment. This is unfair and a breach of the Agreement.
The Union is seeking to survey its members as to their experience during the graduate year. The results will inform prosecution of the breach of the Agreement and also the advancement of CI and PE specific claims in the next round of enterprise bargaining negotiations.
The survey can be accessed via the following link:

We look forward to hearing from you.
