Annual HSR Refresher Training

Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004, Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) are entitled to take part in approved annual OHS refresher training to bring HSR’s up to date with any legislative and regulatory changes in OHS.

The OHS Act requires employers to release HSRs to access one day of refresher training during Health and Safety Week.

This year the annual HSR Conference will be held
Tuesday, 25 October 2016, in Melbourne and Bendigo.

HSR’s will receive a certificate of attendance from Worksafe.

If you are a HSR seeking to exercise your right to the conference on Tuesday, 25 October 2016, you must provide your employer with at least 14 days’ notice.
