Paramedics in Victoria are beginning industrial action this morning, March 18, 2024.
This follows a breakdown in pay negotiations with the state government.
Members will strike, refuse to complete certain hospital tasks and write messages on ambulances as part of the act.
They’re calling for solutions to combat retention issues, unsociable shift allowances and on-call provisions.
Paramedics say the strike will not affect public or patient safety.
